Something Rotten- Meet the Cast

Brandon Bamberg

Brendan is going into his senior year at BASIS. As the middle of three brothers, Brendan has had difficulty defining himself beyond being “Mediamberg,” until he found the wonderful world of musical theater and became a “music theory nerd.” When he is not on stage, Brendan is often found being the forgotten Bamberg on the BASIS chess team, watching National Treasure, or saying, “I’m not gonna listen to you sing if you just keep modulating your key.” He would like to dedicate his performance to sweeping the stage, as he is often found doing in productions.

Noah is 17 years old and goes to school. Noah’s past roles include (but are not limited to) guy who gets killed by rabbit, guy who wins a chocolate lottery, and guy who changes costumes to get girls. Noah would like to give a quick shoutout to Childish Gambino and Peppa Pig.

Hi I’m Clarisse! I am a senior at NPA, and I was inspired to audition for Something Rotten after seeing my friends in the past shows! When I am not performing, I love to get outside and ski or hike. My friends would describe me as fun and adventurous! I can’t wait to be a part of the show.

Eden just finished her junior year at Flag High. She has been doing theater for 4 years, and she has loved every second of it. Her previous roles include Madame Thenardier in Les Miserables, Mrs. Fleming in Heathers, and Mimi in Rent. She would like to dedicate her performance to her family and friends for always supporting her.

AJ is 17 years old and a senior at FHS. His past roles include Guildenstern in Hamlet, Teddy Brewster in Arsenic and Old Lace, Kurt Kelly in Heathers, Oscar in Newsies, Orcus/Ronnie in She Kills Monsters, Tim the Enchanter in Spamalot, Bosun in The Tempest, Juano in West Side Story, and Farkus in A Christmas Story. He would like to thank his friends and family. He would also like to thank Dermot for being a great friend! And he would like to dedicate his performance to Brian D’Arcy James for being a great actor.

Erin is finishing her senior year at Flagstaff Arts and Leadership Academy with an emphasis in dance education. She is new to theater, and her past roles include Heather Duke in Heathers and ensemble/dancer in The Producers. Erin would like to thank FAME for the opportunity to delve into a new art form. She would also like to thank Nona Hungate, Max Hanson, Zane Walden, Sheilah Utley, and Eden Fahy for their constant validation and support.

Max Hanson is going into his senior year at Northland Preparatory Academy. This is his third show with FAME and he is thrilled to be involved with such an amazing company. Max played the Lead Stormtrooper in The Producers and JD in Heathers. He would like to dedicate his performance to his friends, family, and to all of the people who got him where he is today.

Kennedy is a 16-year-old junior at Northland Preparatory Academy. She is an award-winning dancer and singer and has been doing both for nine years and is excited to put her skills to use in theater. She would like to thank her friends and family for their support and dedicates her performance to her late mentor, Minae Wilkins.

Nona just finished her senior year at BASIS. She has been doing theater for the majority of her life and it has really helped shape the person she is. She is thrilled to be able to be part of one final show before she wanders off to the scary world of Palo Alto next year. Her past roles include Heather Chandler in Heathers, Hamlet in Hamlet, and Roxie in Chicago. Nona would like to thank the cast and crew and everyone involved in making this show possible. And she would like to dedicate her performance to Jonathan Clark for being the coolest person ever.

Otto is starting his senior year at NPA. This is his first performance with FAME. His other roles include the Mad Hatter in Alice and Wonderland. Otto has always had an interest and passion for acting, but has never really gotten to show off what he can do. And he is incredibly excited for this opportunity to show what he’s capable of! Otto would like to give huge thanks to the cast and crew for putting on this show even through concerning and difficult times.

Dermot is going into his Freshman year at the University of Arizona. He has previously been seen on stage as King Claudius in Hamlet, himself in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged), Javert in Les Miserables, and many others. Dermot would like to thank his friends, family, Hannah Morgan, the entire production team, and Adam Pascal for helping bring this role to life. Enjoy!

Anna just finished her freshman year at NAU. She has been doing theatre for nearly 4 years, and has been onstage as an actor as well as offstage as a stage manager and assistant director. Her past shows include ensemble in The Addams Family and Newsies, and, most recently, stage manager for Hamlet. Anna is incredibly excited for the opportunity to be onstage again, especially as part of such an amazing group. She would like to thank her Dungeons and Dragons group for keeping life interesting, and Dermot, for doing the voices. She dedicates this performance to any LGBT+ or questioning youth who are taking life one day at a time. You are not alone.

Sophie is a 15 year old freshman at Flagstaff Arts and Leadership Academy. This is her second year in a FAME production, and she is excited to be back! She enjoys singing, dancing, and acting, and her favorite class is musical theater. Previous shows she has been in consists of Rapunzel Uncut, The Seussification of Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Halley’s Comet, a student written production of the story of Stephen Schwartz, Heathers, and many more. She would like to thank her family, friends, and teachers for supporting her passion for theater.

He has been involved in theater since he was 10 years old and hopes to study it in college and perhaps pursue a career in it. Some of Sascha’s previous roles include Ram Sweeney in Heathers, Marius Pontmercy in Les Miserables, and Racetrack Higgins in Newsies. Sam has been involved in theatre since elementary school in her school’s musicals. She is a freshman at NAU and is so jazzed to be able to continue local theatre in Flagstaff. Her previous roles include Alma Hix in The Music Man, Sick Whore and Barricade Boy in Les Miserables, and tech and crew manager of various productions. Sam would like to dedicate this show to her amazing sister Anna who always has her back and puts up with her special brand of insane as well as her hamster Dewey for not killing her in her sleep (as hamsters often do).

Sheliah Utley is going into her Sophomore year at ASU. Sheilah has played many roles during her time in Flagstaff. Her most notable would be Morticia Addams in The Addams Family: A New Musical, Mrs. Fleming in Heathers, Danielle in Bring It On: The Musical, and Cherry Valance in The Outsiders. She would like to dedicate her performance to all of her family, Liliah, Andy, Maile, Madi, Eva, and all her other friends. Oh, and Max has the Caucasity gang.
